Adrian Metcalfe gave us an interesting and informative critique on 17 September.

He started from the basis of identifying what elements are necessary to make the painting work, particularly with regard to composition, one and colour. In other words, what is good in a painting and conversely, what is not so good and what could be improved.

For 'critic's choice, he chose an abstract painting by Val Smith. The two runners-up were Richard Davies and Asha Bassi.
